  1. Truth in Trucking says:

If you don’t learn fast enough they kick you out of the program and then you owe them about $5,000 – and you have no CDL

  2. Mark Shea says:

Great School. After not driving a truck for 18 years, the course was excellant. My instructor was Big Mike from Carlisle,Pa. EVERYTHING he told us was a fact. Excellant instructor. Best job I have ever had. I run dedicated Wal-Mart, great pay as well as miles. Benifits are great.

  3. i made it through says:

instructors were egomaniacs, and seen many get booted from the school and sent home with a big bill and no cdl. fast paced and if you cant keep up or perform you’re gone! once in a solo truck driving for them was a nightmare. they dont care if you make money. all they care about is what suits them. the general attitude is their drivers are just animals that drive their trucks. you can do much better with another company. thats my opinion.

I also had Big Mike as a class room instructer, Jim as a driving instructer which he was great, and a female cutie as a basic skills instructer. Cant remember her name but they were all great. The only thing that sucked was the Horrific motel they keep you in. What a bunch of schmucks there.

  5. Knapper says:

If you had trouble keeping up with Schneider than it’s probably best that you are not out here. Trucking is fast paced, and dangerous. If Schneider driving school was too much for you, then you don’t have what it takes to drive, it’s not for everyone.

  6. Mike Sullivan says:

finished the school successfully and have a signed Diploma that says so. Even so, they
didn’t offer me a driving job and put me out on the street. My contract guaranteed me a job when I completed the training course. That was an obvious Breech of Contract.

Then….they tried to collect thousands of dollars to pay for my training. I got a lawyer and they
backed off in great haste. They waived the training fees.

Now… .. they had paid me a $400 advance against my first driver pay check that never happened. They’ve turned it over to a collection agency when I told them to go stick it!

You would be better off with another trucking company …ANY other trucking company.

  7. Doug says:

I was there in 2007 and was amazed at the number of people that were and then were sent home during the week. Most of those folks were still asked to pay for the course even though they didnt get a job or CDL license. I wouldnt recommend there school.

  8. I agree w/made it thru says:

I gotta laugh at these people at scheeeeneeeder, they reroad test every year, the two guy’s together, didn’t have have my expierence. 22yrs and yes they are egomaniacs, all the horror stories about schneider are coming true, and o/o don’t get sucked in on their choice program unless youwant to haul their freight for around 80cents average, I’m looking now to get out.good luck

  9. RC says:

Anybody heard of Nu Way driving school in St. Louis, MO?

  10. SS says:

I would not recommend Schneider to anyone. It is the worst company of any trade I ever worked for. The said .30-.32 per mile on-off per diem but when you get the first check it’s .27 and .29 on/off per diem. They find any way they can to stick you with “preventable” accidents. They forgot me on Thanksgiving and let me sit for 4 days until the main shift got back from their holiday. Than promptly forgot they promised to get me home the next weekend. They also wanted me back out in 2 days after being otr for 30, so I took my 5 off and received an mia and did not know that for months. The VA paid them for my schooling and they still came after me for money. Oh yes, they found something stupid to fire me for because I needed time of due to some major home/family problems 3 days before my year was up. I could go on about the things they pull, especially to new drivers. My hat’s off to the drivers that put up with it.
